If… (Week 61)

This is week sixty-one in my personal “If… Project” in which I answer questions from the book “If… (Questions for the Game of Life)”

There are 125 pages of this book, each with four questions. I plan to take one page each week and answer the questions as thoroughly and honestly as I am able. In addition, I invite you to answer the questions along with me, whether it be in the comments section, your own personal blog, or just within your own thoughts.

Perhaps in doing so, we will get to know each other better, but even more importantly, get to know ourselves better.

This week’s questions:

If you had to describe the single worst thing a friend could do to you, what would it be?

Murder.

If you were to invent an award to give to one commercial company, which one would you award, and for what?

Apple. And it would be an award for keeping me more addicted to technology than anyone else ever could.

If you could resolve any single dispute, anywhere in the world, what would you solve?

Gay rights.

If you could be a contestant on any game show, which would you like to be on?

Big Brother. I actually auditioned for it a couple months ago, and it was bar far one of my worst auditions ever. Oh well, maybe next year.

Those are my answers to this week’s questions. What are yours?

If… (Week 60)

This is week sixty in my personal “If… Project” in which I answer questions from the book “If… (Questions for the Game of Life)”

There are 125 pages of this book, each with four questions. I plan to take one page each week and answer the questions as thoroughly and honestly as I am able. Perhaps in doing so, we will get to know each other better, but even more importantly, get to know ourselves better.

This week’s questions:

If you could choose the music at your own funeral, what would it be, and who would play it?

I want fun Disney music and gay Broadway show tunes. They define my life.

If you had to sleep with someone you despise in exchange for one thing, what is it that you would demand?

I guess maybe a very very well paying job in some aspect of performing or hosting or something. I ain’t above the casting couch.

If you had to spy on your own country for another country, which nation would you do it for?

Well, I imagine I would eventually have to end up living there to escape the country, so probably a gorgeous European nation.

If you had to name your single worst fear, what would it be?

Passing away without having left my mark.

Those are my answers to this week’s questions. What are yours?

If… (Week 59)

This is week fifty-nine in my personal “If… Project” in which I answer questions from the book “If… (Questions for the Game of Life)”

If you could choose any historic figure to read your eulogy, who would you want to do it?

Is Maya Angelou considered a historic figure? I just love her speaking voice, so I would choose her. So very dramatic.

If you could call any person from history for advice tonight, who would you prefer to talk to?

Ok. I’m just going to come out and say it. I’m getting exceptionally exhausted with the historical figures questions. Who from history do you want to eat with? Who from history do you want to go on vacation with? Who from history do you want a phone call from? Who from history do you want to design a new dress for? Who from history would you like to practice tongue twisters with?

ENOUGH!

If you could put anyone in prison, who would you lock up?

Walt Disney. For creating an empire that has taken all of my money away from me.

If you could undo one sexual encounter in your life so that it never happened, which one would it be?

The one which was not consensual on my part.

Those are my answers to this week’s questions. What are yours?

Journey to Iowa

Today is Mother’s Day in addition to it being my mother’s birthday… a milestone birthday at that. To celebrate, I decided to surprise her by taking a long overdue trip home to visit.

This is how it all went down…

If… (Week 58)

This is week fifty-eight in my personal “If… Project” in which I answer questions from the book “If… (Questions for the Game of Life)”

There are 125 pages of this book, each with four questions. I plan to take one page each week and answer the questions as thoroughly and honestly as I am able. Perhaps in doing so, we will get to know each other better, but even more importantly, get to know ourselves better.

This week’s questions:

If you could overthrow any government in the world, which one would you replace?

I’m far from an expert on government, really. Too soon to say if our current government needs it, although I’m fairly confident it’s going to be a lot better than our previous one. I guess something like the Taliban could use a little overthrowing.

If you were to have a one-night stand with any current world leader, who would you choose?

The closest guy I’d even be a bit interested in is Palin’s daughter’s baby-daddy.

If you were to bear the child of a famous person alive today, whose child would you like to have?

For starters, I don’t want to bear anyone’s child. I don’t have a high pain tolerance.

If you could have borne the child of a famous person no longer living, who would you choose?

Once again, I’m playing the Male Card and not bearing anyone’s spawn.

Those are my answers to this week’s questions. What are yours?

From Newark with Love

I’m at Newark airport about to board a flight.

Wait. What?

Where am I going? What’s going on?

Stay tuned for the story sometime in the next few days!

Fan o’ Pano-rama

I’ve been curious about an app in the iTunes app store for awhile now, and today I finally broke down and bought it. It’s called Pano, and it’s used to make panoramic photographs directly on the phone.

I bought it this morning, and instantly set about with playing with it and trying it out. Lauren, bless her heart, was stuck being my model all day, and now that I’ve had some trial and error with it, I’m probably going to be forcing her to help me test out fun new tricks to do with the app.

I really like some of the results I’ve gotten already though. Here are three panoramas I made today. Each of which was quick and easy and required minimal work on my behalf. Pano for the win!

This week’s questions:

If you could ensure one single personality trait in your children, what would you want it to be?

I would want my children to have a sense of responsibility. I think being a responsible adult goes a long way.

If you could run any single company, institution, or organization in the world, which would you choose?

The Disney Theme Parks!

If you had to select any single manmade object that best represents your personality, what would it be?

Something quirky and silly, like a whoopie cushion.

If you could gain total memory of one year of your life so far, which year would you pick?

The very first year. I think it would be fascinating to remember what I was thinking and experiencing and to remember how I started to develop knowledge and information and recognition. I also think it would be interesting to finally know what it is like to have a father present in one’s life.

Those are my answers to this week’s questions. What are yours?

YouTube Sensation

Last night My friend Kimo told me he was taking me out somewhere, but refused to tell me where in advance. All he would tell me was that I was the only person he knew who would appreciate the events and that I HAD to go. Against my better judgment (I hate surprises), I went. And boy am I glad I did.

He took me to a cabaret show where the headliner for the evening was none other than YouTube sensation Miranda!

I was like a giddy school girl the entire time. Jonas Brothers who? Sorry Jo Bros, there’s a new obsession in my life now.
